Purpose of this Blog

I have surrendered my life to the saving grace of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to spread the joy and sense of purpose I have thus experienced because of it. I intend as Saint Peter tells us to do to give a well reasoned defense and account of what I believe. For hundreds of years the Church, not the university or cable news, lead the way in realm of acadamia and logic and since the the late 1800's or so the Church has fallen into a intelectual dark age where shallow emotions have replaced Biblical Dogma. Christians are called to have faith but not a blind faith. Paul in Acts 17 while in Thessalonica spent three days "reasoning" and "proving" to the Jews Jesus was in fact the Christ. The Bible expects Christians to know what and why they claim to believe what they believe. My purpose is not to completely replace faith with  reason and logic but to reclaim the intelectual heritage that was once the hallmark of the Church and to remove barriers to faith with reason and logic.
